What you’ll need to be our Tax Senior Associate Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Proven public accounting experience, including preparing federal and state income tax returns Comprehensive understanding of tax law Exposure to relevant tax software systems, including CCH, Lacerte, QuickBooks, and/or Canopy Technical verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail Ability to prepare complex tax returns Skilled in preparing responses to the IRS and state tax notices Flexibility to take on larger workloads during Tax season Master’s degree, preferred CPA or CPA eligible, preferred Accommodating and analytical while producing highly precise and accurate work Why you’ll love working with us Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Unlimited PTO and paid holidays Paid parental leave (birthing and adoption) Casual Dress Team building - parties, contests, wellness, service projects Cell phones – Phone and data plans 100% covered, add your spouse for $40/month Target compensation for this role is $75,000- $95,000 What you’ll do as the Tax Senior Associate Prepare accurate and timely federal and state tax returns with increasing complexity Foster client relationships, promoting client satisfaction and retention Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve intricate tax issuesIdentify potential service opportunities that align with client goals to enhance client value Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to support efficient tax processes and compliance Assist in managing and completing tax projects, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met Who we are Haynie & Company has grown from a single office to 13 locations in 5 states with more than 400 team members.
