Position Purpose Drives business results, directs team talent, supports store leadership team and ensures delivery of the legendary L.L.Bean customer experience within an outdoor lifestyle concept retail store. Responsibilities Plan, map and execute floor sets by translating Trail Guide and floor set into compelling merchandise presentations. Analyze reports and use business acumen to make smart decisions and drive sales. Complete and support all visual displays, window displays, marketing signage, promotions, markdowns and merchandise recovery. Co‑operate with Operations Productivity team to plan and efficiently process floor sets and replenishment. Model and foster a service‑first environment; rally the team toward sales and brand loyalty through great service. Act as Leader on Duty to drive conversion and sales; analyze business reports (Qualtrics, variance, merch group sales) to identify trends and opportunities. Develop and implement recognition programs, living the legend efforts, and in‑store contests. Review business events (holidays, promotional weekends, market trends) and develop activations to drive sales. Ensure sales floor is furnished, sizes represented, and fitting room service is excellent, driving conversion and UPT. Support, train, and develop associates; deliver GUIDE training for new hires and ongoing training for year‑round staff. Maintain employee‑facing communication, including break room messaging and communication boards. Model inclusive hiring practices; seek team members’ perspectives and foster respectful communication. Serve as key holder for opening/closing; prepare and communicate daily task responsibilities to staff. Recommend staffing adjustments; respond to employee issues and provide coaching. Participate in peak planning and readiness; support health and safety by following policies and reporting unsafe conditions. Maintain cash office, ensure proper signatures, reconciliation, and organization. Ensure service hub is fully stocked, uncluttered and operational. Oversee cashier execution with a focus on service delivery. Report on expense management; adhere to payroll and budget guidelines. Requirements Associate degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of retail experience in a relevant retailer. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with systems (POS, Word, Excel) and social media platforms. Ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve goals. Ability to inspire and motivate others. High enthusiasm and positive attitude. Capacity for inclusive work environment and customer experience. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends and holidays. Mobility and willingness to relocate (plus).
