Senior Director, Clinical Development - Dermatology (MD)

Gilead Sciences seeks a Senior Director of Clinical Development to lead inflammatory disease and dermatology programs. The role encompasses clinical strategy, Phase 2 program design and execution, and transition planning for Phase 3 registration, requiring on-site presence in Foster City, California.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and scientific leadership for inflammation development programs across dermatology and related immune-mediated diseases
- Lead development and refinement of clinical development plans including indication strategy, endpoints, and key decisions
- Design, initiate, and oversee Phase 2 clinical programs with strategic focus on Phase 3 and registration readiness
- Translate emerging immunology and disease biology data into testable clinical hypotheses and development strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external experts to refine clinical strategy and drive asset portfolio decisions
Requirements
- MD or equivalent medical degree
- Substantive experience establishing and leading Phase 2 development programs
- Strong understanding of dermatologic disease biology and clinical development
- Experience translating immunology and disease biology into clinical hypotheses
- Demonstrated ability to develop clinical development plans and regulatory strategies
- Cross-functional leadership and collaborative experience in pharmaceutical development
