CNC Machine Operator/Setups – Coneybeare LLC, Baldwin Park, CA We are looking for a CNC Machinist for a well-established precision machining company. Able to set up and operate CNC Swiss lathe. Must operate machining equipment to support a production-paced environment. Manages complex set‑ups with minimal supervision. Routinely monitors key process indicators to ensure the process is under control and a quality product is produced, providing guidance to operators on quality and efficiency. Knows how to operate all equipment on the production floor to support daily production. Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Swiss Lathes and other CNC equipment (mills, lathes, mill‑turn machines up to 5‑axis). Use blueprints and travelers to verify part specifications, adjust machines as needed, and load/unload material. Perform 1st Article and in‑process inspections to ensure parts meet required specifications. Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to verify product quality. Perform complex set‑ups for production and development jobs independently. Create, maintain, and update setup procedures for processes. Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure reliable performance and minimize downtime. Maintain process controls on critical operations through proper tooling and equipment maintenance. Troubleshoot and solve machining or process‑related issues in collaboration with operators and engineering. Routinely monitor processes to ensure control and reduce variation using statistical tools and feedback. Provide guidance to operators on quality and efficiency improvements. Monitor production performance and implement process adjustments to maintain or improve cost and quality. Take initiative to drive continuous improvement through communication and problem solving. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience , including at least 2 years with CNC Swiss Lathes . Proficiency with Fanuc and Haas controls. Experience with Tsugami machines is a strong plus. Strong knowledge of CNC setups, process troubleshooting, and inspection methods . Skilled in reading blueprints, travelers, and following setup documentation. Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast‑paced production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
