Jump-start your career as a Medical Assistant today with HCA Florida Breast Care Surgical Specialists.Job Summary and QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signsPrepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilizationGive injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomyAssist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicalsAnswer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referralWhat Qualifications you will need:EXPERIENCE:One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.High School Diploma or GED RequiredCERTIFICATION/LICENSE: 3 ways to qualify :Medical Assistant Certification - required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA certification, or ABR-OE credentials is acceptable ORMedical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment.
