Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager

Stryker seeks a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead EHS strategy and operations at a manufacturing facility in Michigan. This leadership role encompasses regulatory compliance, incident investigation, team management, and alignment of safety programs with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute EHS strategies, plans, budgets, and risk mitigation aligned with regulatory requirements
• Manage compliance programs and ensure adherence to applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes, and monitor safety performance trends
• Oversee emergency response, hazardous materials handling, waste management, and compliance training
• Lead EHS teams and cross-functional initiatives while delivering safety metrics and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or Industrial Hygiene
• Minimum 10 years EHS leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments
• Minimum 5 years managing EHS teams or multi-site programs
• Experience ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations
• Demonstrated ability to develop EHS budgets, programs, and performance metrics
• Professional certification such as CSP or CIH preferred
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing preferred

Compensation: $118,000 - $196,700 USD Annual
