Inventory Clerk New Castle, DE $18.00 – $20.00/Hour Full-Time Temporary Assignment through Goodwill® Staffing Services Are you accurate, organized, and ready to keep a busy warehouse’s inventory on point? We are looking for a dependable Inventory Clerk to maintain precise records of stock levels, verify inventory against physical counts, and support incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is on 2nd shift in a professional, team-oriented environment where accuracy and safety come first. What You’ll Do Perform daily cycle counts as assigned by the Inventory Lead. Physically verify pallets against system records to prevent “ghost pallets.” Complete counts the same day they are started to maintain accuracy. Support inbound receiving by verifying that product matches system entries. Identify and document missing, misplaced, or damaged pallets using the tagging system (Red, Yellow, Green). Submit daily cycle count sheets, discrepancy notes, and inbound receiving verifications to the Inventory Lead. Support the Inventory Lead, Supervisor, and/or Manager during audits. Follow established processes for cycle counts, tagging, and reporting. Participate in all required training, including inbound receiving procedures. Report damaged or dropped product immediately and follow all PPE and safety guidelines. Complete additional responsibilities or projects assigned by management to support overall business objectives. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes. Experience with bar code scanning technology and inventory tracking software. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and shipping labels. Basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts accurately.Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Certification in forklift or material handling equipment operation. Knowledge of safety rules and procedures relevant to warehouse environments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Comfortable in a warehouse environment with moving machinery, forklift traffic, and varying temperatures and noise levels. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to safety protocols. Steel-toe boots required; safety vest and any additional personal protective equipment (PPE) are provided. Available Shifts 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM What We Offer $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience. Monday – Friday schedule on 2nd shift (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM).
