If you take pride in what you do and want to work in a supportive environment, apply today.ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do as CNA with Elderwood:Assist residents with activities of daily living based on individual needs and plans of careSupport bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, mobility, positioning, and other personal-care needsRespond promptly and respectfully to resident requestsObserve residents closely and report changes in condition, behavior, comfort, appetite, mobility, or daily functioning to the nurseSupport rehabilitation and mobility goals as directed by the care teamHelp maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and respectful resident environmentCommunicate clearly with nurses, rehabilitation professionals, residents, families, and fellow CNAsFollow infection-prevention, safety, documentation, and resident-rights requirementsContribute to a team culture built on mutual respect, reliability, communication, and accountabilityQualificationsWhat You'll Need as a CNA with Elderwood:Current registration on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry, with no findings or convictions involving resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or misappropriation of propertyMust be at least 17 years oldEmployment certificate or permit if 17 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious training or work experience in a geriatric setting preferredA caring, patient, and respectful approach to residentsAbility to communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and supervisorsAbility to work collaboratively and follow established plans of care and clinical directionPhysical stamina for an active, hands-on resident-care positionAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English at the level necessary for safe care and effective workplace communicationEOE StatementWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
