Job Description:

Security Clearance:

• DOE Q clearance required (equivalent to DoD Top Secret); security personnel must qualify for and maintain the required clearance

Work Experience Mandatory:

• Mandatory functional experience should support DOE safeguards/security and emergency-response work, including security reviews, assessments and surveys; Site Security Plans and Security Management Plans; Security Risk Assessments; SSIMS support; personnel/PIV security processing; clearance and termination tracking; eAPP, USAccess and CPCI-related processes; DCSA coordination; security records protection; audit/assessment support; CUI and Insider Threat support; and derivative classification activities.

Education/Certifications Nice to Have:

• DOE safeguards/security, personnel security, emergency management, CUI/Insider Threat, or derivative-classification training/credentials would strengthen the candidate were current and applicable.

Work Experience Nice to Have:

• Preferred proposal-strength experience includes DOE or comparable federal security programs, classified document handling, facility/personnel security, ODFSA support, SPAR/SSIMS compliance, emergency preparedness/COOP, field inspections, security construction oversight, corrective-action tracking, and direct interaction with DCSA or equivalent federal security organizations.

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Provide Security and Emergency Response support to DOE SPRPMO.
• Review and prepare security/emergency-response documentation, assessments, reports, COOP materials, Security Risk Assessments, Site Security Plans, and Annual Security Management Plan inputs.
• Support SSIMS data/findings, field exercises, HQ assessments, ODFSA oversight, SPAR administration, security system design reviews, inspections, and corrective actions. Perform/assist derivative classification duties.
• Process and track PIV, clearance, and termination actions; use eAPP and USAccess; support CPCI reporting; coordinate personnel-security packages with DOE and DCSA; secure personnel-security records; support badging/register functions; address CUI and Insider Threat requirements; and provide field support for inspections and special assessments, including travel as required.
