Plasma Processing Technician

Job Description Responsible for the accurate and timely sampling, testing, shipping and storage of plasma collected from donors. The role is performed in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Duties include collecting plasma samples, moving plasma units to the freezer, ensuring proper storage, labeling accuracy, and using sterile technique to draw samples. Additional responsibilities involve packing and shipping samples, preparing shipping and disposal documentation, monitoring freezer and refrigerator temperatures, conducting daily equipment calibration, and ensuring accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system. The employee must follow all HSE and OSHA policies, maintain a clean work environment, and may be cross‑trained in other areas. Bilingual skills may be required. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Minimum of three (3) months experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other skills: Basic math calculations, manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions Physical & mental requirements include understanding and following written and oral instructions, standing and walking for up to 100% of the time, and working in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions. Employees may be exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures and blood‑borne pathogens; protective equipment is required.
