Senior API Development Lead

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of REST API solutions for new applications.

Lead and mentor team members, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.

Act as a point of escalation for resolving complex technical issues and customer challenges.

Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.

Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.

Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of API solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role.

Strong expertise in REST API design and development using modern frameworks.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET.

Hands-on experience with API security (OAuth, JWT, etc.) and performance optimization.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and microservices architecture.

Strong problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working with distributed/offshore teams in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Experience handling large-scale enterprise-grade applications.
