This position supports our 3rd- and 4th-grade classroom teachers, helping keep our classrooms bright, welcoming, and full of positive energy so every student feels supported, celebrated, and excited to learn. The ideal candidate is patient, upbeat, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with kids. Responsibilities : Assist the classroom teacher Mrs. Choi and Mrs. Ewosobi with daily instruction, including small-group and one-on-one support for students. Help prepare fun, engaging classroom materials, learning centers, and displays. Cheer students on during independent work time, guided reading, and other activities. Assist with grading, organizing student work, and general classroom clerical tasks. Help maintain a warm, safe, and joyful classroom environment where students feel valued every day. Supervise students during lunch/recess duty (this is often the best part of the day!) and assist with drop-off and pick-up as assigned. Support the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. Communicate warmly and collaborate closely with the classroom teacher, faculty, and administration. Qualifications : High school diploma required; some college coursework or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with elementary-age children preferred; Catholic school experience highly desirable. Patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys working as part of a classroom team. Good communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Support for the mission and values of Catholic education; active participation in the Catholic Church is preferred but not required. Current TB clearance and successful completion of all required background checks.
