Responsibilities Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for mechanical insulation construction projects Develop labor productivity estimates and project budgets Obtain competitive pricing from vendors and suppliers Solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals where required Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and bid documents Assess project risks and determine appropriate pricing strategies Participate in internal bid reviews and estimating meetings Build and maintain strong client and industry relationships Utilize wage and benefit schedules during the estimating process Support project turnover meetings with operations teams upon award Assist with change order pricing and project cost analysis Collaborate with other estimators and project teams across business units Qualifications Required Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent communication and customer relationship skills Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Ability to interpret project schedules, sequencing, and durations Experience with estimating and takeoff software such as: On-Screen Takeoff BuzzBID QuickBid MIKE Proficiency with: Microsoft Office Bluebeam Revu Procore PlanSwift Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of construction estimating experience Experience estimating mechanical insulation scopes, including HVAC piping and duct insulation Experience within commercial, industrial, mission critical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or institutional construction environments Compensation Salary Range: $88,000 - $116,000 base salary In addition to base compensation, the position offers a performance-based bonus opportunity and a highly competitive benefits package.
