Position Quality Control Engineer – Mesa, Arizona, USA. Job Description Statistically review key chemistry metrologies to monitor and understand all aspects impacting instrument analysis, method detection limits, and background/baseline shifts and trends. Collaborate with lab personnel in troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects. Establish a deep understanding of key metrology equipment and its background shifts, and offer recommendations to manage data at the uncertainty region. Communicate findings and monitor continuous improvement effectiveness with QC/QA managers, lab personnel, production staff, product managers, instrument developers, system engineers, and customers across sites. Drive change and continuous improvement projects based on findings. Support metrology investigations for product teams and customer requests. Requirements BS/MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry or related degree; 1–3 years experience in semiconductor field or analytical/statistical environment preferred. Ability to multitask, adapt to a dynamic work environment, and self‑drive projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills across functional groups. Well organized, self‑driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Preferred background in instrumental analysis: ICP/MS, GC/FID/TCD, GC/MS, LC/MS, GFAA, ICP/OES, UV‑Vis, IC, HPLC, wet chemistry techniques, and liquid particle counters. Experience with Six Sigma tools (SPC, Nelson/Western Electric rules, statistical decision‑making). Ability to use laboratory and statistical knowledge to provide quality input on laboratory‑generated data for internal and external customers. Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills desired. Safety‑sensitive position requiring successful post‑offer drug screening and the ability to work in a safe manner.
