Salary: $25 - $29 / hour

Dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.

VCA A Breed Apart is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our AAHA-accredited, 5-doctor practice in Pasadena, California.

\n

\n

Position available for a full-time , experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Responsibilities require proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement, as well as stress-free handling, digital radiography, administration of vaccines, and medications. The ideal candidate will also possess great attendance, client communication skills, superior customer service skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work in a great team atmosphere. Salary will be based on the level of experience.

  Venipuncture

\n

  Catheter placement

\n
• \n

  Radiology

\n
• \n

  Physical examinations, patient assessment, and record keeping

\n
• \n

  Surgical preparation and assisting

\n
• \n

  Dentistry

\n
• \n

  Laboratory work

\n
• \n

  Pharmacy

\n
• \n

  Patient recovery

\n
• \n

  Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

\n
• \n

  Client Relations

\n
• \n

  Housekeeping/Maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

\n

\n
• \n

  Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience

\n
• \n

  Animal Handling

\n
• \n

  Anesthesia monitoring

\n
• \n

  Dentistry (Preferred, not required)

\n
• \n

  Capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties that will be expected in the job

\n
• \n

  Must be friendly, outgoing, “People-oriented.”

\n
• \n

  Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays

\n
• \n

  Customer service skills, including Phone skills

\n
• \n

  Working knowledge of computers

\n
• \n

  Excellent communications skills

\n
• \n

  Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
