Job Description
Orthopedic Scrub Tech

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Scrub Tech to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic procedures, including total joint replacements and spinal surgeries, with a proven ability to navigate a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up surgical instruments and equipment for orthopedic surgeries.
• Assist the surgical team by providing support throughout the procedure.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Perform IV starts as required.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be AHA certified).
• Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, specifically in orthopedics.
• Ability to scrub orthopedic surgeries, including total joint procedures (hips, knees, and shoulders) and spine cases.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

• Typical cases per day: 40-60
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System: Epic
• Scrubs Provided: Maroon
• Floor orientation duration: 1 week

Shift Information

Shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Position requirements include no weekends, no call, no holidays, and no floating between departments.
