Phlebotomist

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Mt Vernon, TX (75457). Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm. Additional hours or rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform accurate data entry of patient information in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision. Assist in a fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment. At least 1 year of experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric – geriatric). Current or prior LabCorp experience. Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency must be demonstrated if work experience is not available. Must be able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills (written and verbal). Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
