Senior IT Specialist

Responsibilities Provide warehouse and operations support for the new distribution center, ensuring smooth and secure operation of warehouse systems. Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain handheld mobile Android devices (Zebra, Honeywell) and vehicle‑mounted terminals. Maintain a fleet of critical printers, label printers, and office multifunction printers. Act as liaison between warehouse associates and the WMS Application Support Team, ensuring user issues are reported and resolved quickly. Hands‑on support for IT Operations Team in troubleshooting Wi‑Fi access points, switches, firewalls, and IoT devices. Coordinate fiber/cat6 cabling needs, patch‑panel management, and keep MDF/IDF cabinets organized. Act as local liaison for ISPs, low‑voltage cable installers, and various IT vendors. Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires and off‑boarding for departing staff, including equipment collection, inventory, and wiping. Triage hardware, software, and connectivity issues for office staff and warehouse associates (Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook). Review and update inventory records for all IT assets. Work independently and collaborate with the IT Operations team to prioritize tasks and improve efficiencies. Maintain operational flexibility – work multiple shifts (day, swing, night) or be on call as needed. Travel up to 10% of the time to client and customer locations; hold a valid driver’s license. Manage a company credit card, record expenses, and be reimbursed on a bi‑weekly basis. Qualifications Minimum 5years of IT support experience, with a focus on warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments. Proficiency in administering Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure. Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi access points, SFP modules, cabling standards. Familiarity with label‑printing technology (Zebra preferred). Strong autonomy and self‑starter skills, able to prioritize tasks and seek improvement opportunities. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50lbs (servers, UPS units, printers). Ability to stand, walk, and work on a concrete warehouse floor for extended periods. Ability to work in an air‑conditioned room when needed for MDF infrastructure support. Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders, and tolerate temperature variations, noise, and other warehouse environmental conditions. Benefits & Compensation The base salary range for this position is $77,000.00 – $105,600.00, with actual pay determined by experience and skill level.
