We operate a non‑profit organization, The Toby Project, whose objective is to solve New York City's pet overpopulation problem (approximately 10,000 dogs and cats lose their lives each year in our city's shelter system). We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including preventative care, vaccines & monitoring, dentistry, 24‑hour nursing care, specialty care and state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Job Description Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, handle calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists provide friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. May be exposed to loud barking and brief periods of unpleasant odors. Qualifications Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 2‑year veterinary reception experience – Required Experience with Cornerstone software – Required Compassionate, calm, team player, multi‑tasker and strong communicator Highly organized and possess computer skills Self‑starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
