Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)

Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Start Time: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Projected Start: 08/17/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to geriatric and adult patients on a 12-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
• Evaluate and treat patients with diagnoses including CVA, hip fractures, myopathies, and general debility
• Perform and assist with physical patient transfers using available lift equipment
• Document patient care and progress accurately using Epic EHR
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Float to med/surg unit as needed and as interested

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Active OT licensure in the state of Texas (or eligibility)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• Comfort and proficiency performing physical patient transfers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Arjo lift equipment
• Experience working with geriatric and adult patient populations
