Piping Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to oversee piping construction activities on a major industrial project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site operations, supervising contractors and craft personnel, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards. This role will involve close collaboration with engineering, construction, commissioning, planning, procurement, and client representatives to support the successful delivery of project milestones.


Key responsibilities include planning and directing daily piping activities; coordinating installation, fabrication, testing, insulation, painting, and reinstatement works; monitoring productivity and progress against the construction schedule; and identifying and resolving technical, logistical, and resource-related issues. You will review method statements, inspection and test plans, work packs, isometric drawings, and material requirements, while ensuring activities are properly sequenced and adequately resourced. The role also requires maintaining accurate records, contributing to progress reporting, participating in coordination and toolbox meetings, and ensuring compliance with permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, environmental procedures, and site safety requirements.


Applicants should have substantial experience supervising piping construction on large-scale industrial, energy, infrastructure, or process plant projects. A strong understanding of piping systems, fabrication and erection methods, hydrotesting, pressure testing, punch-list management, and construction handover processes is essential. You will need proven leadership and contractor-management skills, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a practical approach to planning and problem-solving. Relevant trade, technical, or engineering qualifications are desirable, along with recognised health and safety training. The position requires a proactive, organised individual who can work effectively under pressure, communicate clearly with diverse teams, and maintain a strong focus on quality, schedule, safety, and successful project completion.
