At WSM, we’ve spent 21 years celebrating all things Missouri Made, and we’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Prep team member to join our award-winning small business. With a unique combination of a locally sourced gift shop and a downstairs bistro serving carefully curated lunches, we take pride in providing an unforgettable experience for both locals and tourists alike. What You'll Do As a Kitchen Prep team member, you’ll play a crucial role in creating the delicious, fresh lunches our customers rave about. Your daily responsibilities will include: Prepping lunch ingredients from scratch with care and precision. Must be able to follow directions and recipes already set in place. Baking and crafting unique lunch items using locally sourced products. Setting up and tearing down the kitchen daily, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment. Sharpening knives and maintaining kitchen tools to ensure top-notch performance. Working collaboratively with a small, tight‑knit team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Must be able to lift 40-50 pound boxes as needed and stand on feet for long periods of time. What We're Looking For We’re seeking a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and has a passion for quality and creativity. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed: 1 year of experience as a prep cook or kitchen apprentice. Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of kitchen basics. A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others toward a common goal. A commitment to cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
