HR Specialist 1

In this onsite role, you’ll support key payroll tax operations—helping ensure payroll tax forms, filings, audits, and casework are completed correctly and on time across federal, state, and local requirements. • Payroll tax compliance knowledge (federal, state, and local)
• Payroll systems proficiency (experience with automated payroll tools)
• High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication, with confidentiality handling

• ADP SmartCompliance experience
• PeopleSoft experience (researching and resolving discrepancies)
• Experience managing state income tax and unemployment tax accounts/portals
• Experience reviewing payroll audit reports and resolving tax calculation errors
• Experience supporting monthly tax filing uploads (e.g., state-specific processes)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience as a Payroll Tax Specialist or in a closely related payroll tax role

• Onsite, 5 days/week with a standard schedule aligned to business hours
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee/payroll information
• Comfortable with ongoing training (video-based and in-person), plus 1:1 support as needed
