Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

The competent Registered Nurse (RN) practices independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. The RN continues to develop skills in coping and managing contingencies in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols while monitoring patients for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with nursing standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact.
