Embedded Software Engineer

Overview As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for product design, development, and support. Your responsibilities will include architecture, design, coding, development, testing, debugging, quality assurance, open-source assessment, and implementation of embedded devices and systems. The position is based in Germantown, MD. Responsibilities Design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to production and commercial deployment Design, develop, code, test and debug system software Integrate and validate new product designs Support software QA and optimize I/O performance Provide post-production support Interface with hardware design and development Assess third-party and open-source software Recommend product improvements Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance S. in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or similar, MS preferred 5+ years of related development experience C and C++ proficient Proficient in Embedded Linux (Peta Linux, OpenWrt, Yocto, etc.) Experience with Embedded Linux application development Experience with Embedded SW design with close manipulation of Hardware Experience with Embedded Linux Device Tree patching and manipulation.
