Schedule/Shift

RN shifts are 12 hours, working three nights per week from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and rotating holidays required.

Job Description

The 2 South unit provides telemetry care with 20 private beds, focusing on patients requiring telemetry monitoring and medical/surgical care. As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with a team that includes dedicated Pharmacists and Respiratory Therapists available 24/7. You will be responsible for maintaining patient safety, managing care delivery, and ensuring that each patient's needs are met while documenting care in the EPIC system.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for telemetry patients, ensuring appropriate monitoring and interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and document findings accurately.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Supervise and support Patient Care Technicians in meeting patient needs.
• Participate in charge nursing duties, if comfortable.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
