Job Title: OR RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: Permanent Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of OR RN experience required License: Current NYS RN license in hand Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - MEDITECH experience - Ability to provide quality patient care - Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Description: This position requires working 12-hour night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and call. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an OR setting. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is mandatory. Current Client RN license must be presented. BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred. Candidates should have experience with MEDITECH software. Leadership qualities, including preceptorship and charge nurse experience, are preferred. A thorough knowledge of nursing principles is essential. Ability to assess and address patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs is necessary. Candidates must recognize safety issues for themselves and others. Ability to assess and use lifts for safe patient movement is critical. Candidates should function well in stressful situations and possess creative problem-solving skills. Interpretation skills for lethal dysrhythmias are required. Responding to on-call duties within a 30-minute timeframe is necessary.
