Skilled Electrician

We are currently seeking a talented and driven Skilled Electrician to join our team. This role involves the installation of electrical systems in commercial and industrial projects. As a skilled electrician, you will also supervise and coordinate the work of helper/apprentice electricians. Building excellent customer relations is crucial, and you will be expected to interact with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions. Key Responsibilities Arrive at the worksite on time and ready for the day's tasks. Demonstrate a commitment to self-improvement, learning, and the advancement of electrical skills. Implement basic electrical and construction principles to address design and modification challenges with provided materials. Adhere to national and local codes, and stay updated on the latest NEC revisions. Follow company policies and procedures diligently. Meet daily commitments and align with project schedules as directed by the job-site foreman. Assist with various tasks including material handling, trench digging, and wire pulling as needed for project completion. Treat all clients, coworkers, vendors, and trade personnel with respect and professionalism. Maintain a clean and organized job site during and after work hours. Complete required documentation, including timecards, in a timely manner. Adhere to and enforce safety policies and training guidelines. Troubleshoot and address issues with common electrical systems including services, feeders, and branch circuits. Plan new or modified installations to optimize material usage, accessibility for maintenance, and aesthetically pleasing wiring consistent with specifications. Create sketches for wiring and equipment placement or follow provided diagrams and blueprints. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit. Pull wiring through installed conduit. Splice wires by preparing terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires, and securing with tape or terminal caps. Connect wiring to outlets, fixtures, and powered equipment. Install control and distribution devices such as switches, relays, and circuit‑breaker panels. Connect power cables to machinery and install grounding leads. Monitor installed equipment for proper function, identifying hazards and needs for adjustments. Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment or systems. Other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. A minimum of 4 years' experience in electrical project installations. Reliable transportation is a must. Ownership of necessary electrician's hand tools. Ability to multitask and work with hands effectively. Advanced understanding of electrical systems is required. Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record to comply with company policy. Applicable state certification is necessary. Willingness to travel as required.
