Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular ICU Critical Care

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse

Join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic procedures in a high-acuity, specialized environment. This 8-bed CVICU provides an excellent opportunity to care for patients following open heart surgery, catheter-based valve procedures, vascular interventions, and thoracic surgeries. ICU or Cardiovascular Intermediate Care (CVIMC) experience is strongly preferred.

Our nurses work alongside intensivists, cardiovascular surgeons, advanced practice providers, and a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needsfrom routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications:

ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

This position has a hiring range of USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
