Job Description: FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM Dual Enrollment

This job is a Federal Work Study, non-benefited position in the Recruitment Division that reports to the Manager Dual Enrollment. Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federally funded program by the Department of Education. This program provides part-time jobs for undergraduate students with significant financial need and is administered by the FWS Coordinator, and the Office of Financial Aid, in accordance with the law, federal regulations, and with instructions from the United States Department of Education.

Salary: $13.50 per hour.

Hours: 19 hours per week - Flexible Monday Thursday, 8am until 5 pm and Friday, 8am until 4pm.

Minimum Qualifications: (Job Code: T9502) Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be eligible for funds through the Federal Work Study Program for the current semester at Gwinnett Technical College and be in good academic standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, must be able to type quickly and accurately, use Microsoft Office, able to communicate professionally via phone, email, in-person, and a software messaging system. Ability to handle multiple tasks; use proper judgment in directing questions to appropriate staff for assistance.

Job Description Summary: Under close supervision, provides clerical support and office assistance to Recruitment and related personnel. At the direction of assigned supervisor, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.

Make copies of materials as needed.

Assist department personnel as needed.

Provide information regarding Gwinnett Technical College to internal and external customers.
