Local Delivery Driver

Coastal Forest Products, a leading wholesale distributor of specialty building products, is currently seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Local Delivery Driver to transport and deliver products to our customers and support our warehouse operations within our South Carolina facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver building materials to customers according to assigned delivery routes and schedules.
• Verify delivery paperwork and confirm product accuracy at the time of delivery.
• Safely operate and transport a flatbed truck equipped with a Moffett forklift.
• Complete driver logs and required documentation in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized truck.
• Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, damages, or product discrepancies promptly.
• Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials.
• Pick, package, and prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup.
• Organize and stage materials in designated warehouse areas to support efficient operations.
• Process daily paperwork and communicate effectively using company-provided electronic devices.
• Provide professional customer service and build positive working relationships with customers at delivery sites.

Required Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Current CDL Class A with a DOT Physical card (or ability to pass a DOT Physical)
• 2 years of commercial driving experience with an excellent safety record.
• Strong commitment to following all safety processes and protocols.
• Knowledge of CSA and FMCSR rules and regulations
• Acceptable driving record meeting Insurance Provider standards
• Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Background and DOT Drug Test
• Situational awareness and ability to use good judgement
• Experience in a lumber or warehouse setting a plus

Physical Conditions:

• Able to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Able to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing.
• Able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Able to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
• Able to work in warehouse and outdoor environment
