Physician - OB Hospitalist - Muskegon (Contingent)

Contingent OB Hospitalist Physician – Muskegon, MI We are seeking a passionate and driven Contingent OB Hospitalist Physician to join our team in Muskegon, MI. This role offers coverage and total management of obstetric patients, including labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and postpartum care. Responsibilities Provide in-house coverage and total management of obstetric patients, including labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and postpartum care. Work 24-hour shifts (7 am – 7 am) on a rotating schedule. Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Support a Level II Special Care Nursery and coordinate with a Level III NICU in Grand Rapids for more complex cases. Work with residents and faculty involved in a specialized OB/GYN residency program. Provide direct patient care and documentation in Epic EMR. Participate in teaching, mentoring, quality‑improvement initiatives, and community‑health efforts. Have access to a social worker and other support staff. Qualifications Relevant clinical experience as an OB/GYN physician. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology or board eligible, with intent to become board certified within five years after start date (unless sooner required by medical‑staff bylaws). Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain). DEA license. Board‑level BLS certification (must be maintained). ACLS certification (must be maintained).
