NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST

Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST to join our NUCLEAR MEDICINE team! Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radioactive materials to perform imaging and dynamic function studies necessary to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Prepares radioactive isotopes, operates Nuclear Imaging, and performs a variety of nuclear tests. Complies with performance measures/activities to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy, mission, and values. Hours: .9 FTE / 72 hours every two weeks; day shift, Monday‑Friday. Qualifications Knowledge of nuclear medicine standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine program approved by ARRT or NMTCB. ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification. Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nuclear techniques, procedures, and equipment such as planar imaging, S.P.E.C.T. imaging, nuclear cardiology and computer processing. Demonstrates mature judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum of supervision. Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality with regard to the operation and interaction of the department and the hospital.
