ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in intensive care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.Position DetailsUnit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Unit Type: Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery or Medical ICU - Medical CardiacShift: Night ShiftShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirements: 3 weekends per month or up to 3 weekends if unit is busyHoliday Requirements: 1 holiday off during the assignmentFirst to float: Expected to float between ICU units as neededEssential ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.Titrate and monitor various medications as required including, but not limited to, Propofol, fentanyl, and vasopressin.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.Assist in the care of various high-acuity patients, including trauma, neuro, and surgical patients.Interpret telemetry, monitoring vital signs, and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience, with at least 2 years in a critical care setting.Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSSSkills: Proficiency in managing mechanical ventilation and various invasive and non-invasive monitoring equipment.Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program.Additional NotesMust pass the UNA Dysrhythmia Exam within 24-48 hours prior to acceptance of the position. Max attempts is 2.Successful completion of a simulation lab examination on Day 1 of orientation.Self-scheduling available, with shift balancing as necessary.Working ConditionsThe position involves working in a critical care environment with potential exposure to high-stress situations.
