We are seeking to hire a manager level employee with 8+ years of experience interested in continuing to develop skills in all tax areas including compliance, planning, research, and advisory services. Our firm provides personalized accounting services to small and medium sized businesses. This person will wear multiple hats and will need to include a positive attitude, self learner, outstanding work ethic and an enthusiasm to take new tasks. The candidate must be patient, cheerful, self motivated, well organized and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines as a team player. Responsibilities will include:Main Responsibilities:Review and sign tax returnsPrepare complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, nonprofits, partnerships and trustsTax research experienceCommunicate with IRS, FTB, etc and other regulatory agenciesCompute quarterly estimates and other computations, including salary projectionsCommunicate directly with clientsJob RequirementsCPA license active in CaliforniaProven experience managing tax accountantsAttention to detail and good judgmentExceptional Communication skillsProblem solving skillsOrganized/Good Time Management skillsWorking knowledge with QuickBooksTeam Player and ability to work independentlyWork overtime during both spring and fall busy seasonsProficient computer skills (Lacerte and other accounting software)
