Maintenance Mechanic II

dormakaba is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II based in Indianapolis, IN. This position supports reliable plant operations by independently performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a wide range of production and facility equipment. The position contributes to training and guiding entry-level technicians, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and driving equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is First Shift (6:30AM - 2:30PM) with a base pay range of $32/hr. - 40/hr. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks in Cribmaster, ensuring accurate scheduling, documentation, and completion
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
• Conduct intermediate electrical troubleshooting and repairs (sensors, switches, wiring, VFDs, motors); escalate complex PLC or controls issues when needed
• Fabricate, align, and install parts and assemblies using machining, welding, and precision measuring tools
• Support equipment changeovers, rebuilds, and installations to improve performance and extend equipment life

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes)
• 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or
  equivalent technical training/apprenticeship
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems (hydraulics,
  pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and
  hydraulic/pneumatic schematics

• Proficiency in using a CMMS system, and standard plant systems for maintenance scheduling, work order entry, and parts management
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics
