Linus & Friends is a foster based dog and cat rescue in NYC dedicated to creating lasting matches between pets and families through a thoughtful, thorough adoption process. Our work prioritizes long-term success, transparency, and lifelong support for both animals and adopters.
We are at a pivotal transition point, seeking experienced leadership to help stabilize our operations, strengthen systems, and ensure that our mission of responsible, sustainable rescue continues to thrive.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Executive Director to provide leadership during a growth and transition period. This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired nonprofit leader, or an experienced ED interested in short term, high impact work.
This is a leadership role with real authority, designed to support organizational health and prepare the rescue for its next phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership
- Oversee operations and workflows
- Help establish systems, policies, and structure
- Support strategic planning and prioritization
- Collaborate with the team
- Prepare the organization for long-term leadership sustainability
Ideal Candidate
- Former or current nonprofit ED, COO, or senior leader
- Experience with small or growing nonprofits
- Strong operational and people leadership skills
- Passion for animal welfare
