Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Remote considered in CST/EST time zones)

Shift: 1st Shift (Occasional off-hours support required)

Duration: 6-9 Month Contract

Job Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network operations, architecture design, and security best practices, with a strong background in Cisco and Palo Alto technologies .


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform review analyses, capacity planning, and provide recommendations for improvements to existing network infrastructure and security protocols.
• Maintain and upgrade network infrastructure hardware, ensuring up-to-date software/firmware patches.
• Design, evaluate, and recommend network architectures, considering performance, scalability, and cost.
• Monitor network health and performance using specialized tools, ensuring high availability and uptime.
• Provide rotational on-call support for network-related mission-critical systems.
• Lead or participate in the implementation of infrastructure-related projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize network operations and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network-related issues and deliver projects on time.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
• Strong experience with Cisco networking equipment and Palo Alto firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge of IT systems, network protocols, and security best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting end-user and infrastructure issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in project environments.
• Proficiency in documenting systems procedures and network configurations.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management experience in implementing and supporting network infrastructure projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with network monitoring and alerting tools.
• Background in process improvement and automation within IT operations.
