Software Engineer - Embedded Systems, Anesthesia Devices

GE HealthCare seeks an embedded software engineer to develop life-critical software for anesthesia and ventilation delivery systems. The role combines feature development, system integration, and testing while building expertise in medical device technology and clinical applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain embedded software for anesthesia and vaporizer systems
- Develop C++ software for RTOS and Embedded Linux environments
- Integrate software with processors, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
- Debug cross-system issues spanning software, hardware, and communication layers
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, design reviews, and code reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in C++ programming
- Demonstrated interest in embedded systems through work or projects
- Familiarity with software design, debugging, testing, and version control
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
