KENNEL ATTENDANT

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-Time Regular
HOURS: 1:00pm 7:00pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
9:00am 3:00pm Saturday
LOCATION: Animal Shelter, 2020 Bedford
JOB SKILLS: Ability to assess health problems of animals and work with veterinarians; excellent verbal and written abilities; excellent customer service skills.
JOB DUTIES: Answers phone calls pertaining to animals that are vicious, diseased or strays; feeds animals in the shelter; performs tasks that are important to the cleanliness and hygiene of the animal shelter; coordinates the adoption of unclaimed animals; works with socializing and exercising animals, as time is available; other duties required for the successful operation of the animal shelter.
PAY & BENEFITS: $16.00/hour and earns Paid Time Off (PTO).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to move/lift animals of various sizes and large bags of food and litter. Work is performed in an environment with foul odors and loud noises associated with an animal shelter.
OTHER: Post-offer drug test and background check.
Compensation details: 17-19 Hourly Wage
