Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview Registered Nurse (PCU) travel assignment in Aspen, Colorado. Start date 07/13/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay ranges from $2,591 to $2,793 per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am). Setting is a rural Critical Access Hospital, with the nurse expected to function as a primary nurse within the Patient Care Unit. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in the PCU as the primary nurse for assigned patients Monitor patient status, administer medications, and adjust care plans per physician orders and protocol Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, safety, and discharge planning Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes; ensure accurate patient records and handoffs Respond to changes in patient condition, perform appropriate monitoring, and escalate as needed Requirements Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Colorado or ability to obtain prior to start date Basic Life Support (BLS); may be obtained prior to or at start Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Minimum 2 years of RN experience Ability to work in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting and function effectively at high elevation (8,000 feet) Not accepting any requests for time off (RTO) during the assignment Benefits and Assignment Details Housing: Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing; consider nearby towns (Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs).
