- Required skills in accessing/managing ports, administering conscious sedation, and adult acute care


Description:
The nurse will work a day shift schedule of 5 days per week from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Call is required on weekday evenings every other week from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Floating to other units may be required based on patient needs.
Availability to work 1 weekend every 12 weeks is necessary.
The nurse will manage medication using an automated dispensing system.
Patient populations may include individuals with various diagnoses such as diabetes, cancer, PVD, carotid stenosis, hemorrhage, aneurysm, and ESRD.
The nurse will provide moderate sedation and care for patients during preparation and recovery for special procedures including interventional radiology and neuroendovascular cases.
The role includes post-anesthesia care unit recovery, CT, MRI, and ultrasound procedures.
Strong competencies in medication management, infection prevention, and safety protocols are required.
The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
The daily patient census may reach up to 55 with care provided in a supportive environment.
