Physical Therapist

Join our dynamic therapy team as a Physical Therapist specializing in acute care, outpatient services, and skilled nursing facilities. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 5x8 Days
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks

Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive physical therapy services to patients across various settings including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.
• Assessing and developing individualized patient care plans.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions in alignment with patient goals.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting; first-timers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications Required: BLS certification and an active license to practice in Alaska.
• Preferred Experience: Exposure to pediatrics and adolescent therapy is advantageous but not mandatory.

Facility Information

This position is within a critical access hospital offering a wide range of services for patients of all ages and diagnoses. The therapy department caters to outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing patients, specializing in areas such as wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor therapy, and pediatric services.

• Total Staffed Beds: 46 acute care, 22 long-term care beds

Housing and Travel Information

The facility will provide housing and a rental vehicle for the duration of the assignment. Housing units are typically one-bedroom apartments, available for move-in within 72 hours before the contract begins and no later than 24 hours after the contract ends. Please note that pets are not allowed, and the unit must be cleaned prior to departure to avoid additional fees.
