Infusion RN – Oncology

Location: Plano, TX 75093 (On-site)
Type: W2 Contract (Temporary)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (exact hours to be confirmed)
Duration: 2 weeks (current contract end date: 09/12/2026)
Pay Rate:  $45.00/hr

Position Overview

Under minimal supervision, the Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients while adhering to national and company standards and specialty guidelines. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and support therapeutic management for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care per established standards
• Assess patient/family needs; provide education and instructional materials
• Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction/supervision
• Administer medications and blood products using correct dose, route, time, and technique
• Provide infusion therapies including  Chemo, IVIG, Iron, Immunotherapy, Hydration
• Ensure pre-authorization and required consents are obtained prior to therapy (as applicable)
• Support dose modifications by assessing patients/labs, consulting protocols, and collaborating with the physician
• Perform venipuncture; access implanted ports; maintain central line catheter devices
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments
• Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program ( BSN preferred )
• Active  RN license and current registration in the practicing state
• 1+ year of RN experience administering infusions for chronic illness
• BLS certification (current)
• Chemo experience strongly preferred

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other oncology/hematology clinic conditions
• Requires full range of body motion; extensive standing/walking
• May lift/carry items up to 40 lbs
• Corrected vision and hearing within normal range
