Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care to cardiac and intermediate care patients within a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment. The position requires a strong background in cardiac interim care and the ability to manage diverse clinical situations independently. Job Details Shift: Days, 12 hours, 48 hours per week Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, ability to pass EKG test within the first week of hire, at least 1 year of recent cardiac experience (Cardiac Step Down Unit, Intermediate Cardiac, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit), and 2 years of IMC/Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry experience. Candidate must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing Additional Information: The unit features 44 beds with high patient turnover, including post-operative CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablations, acute chest pain/myocardial infarction, and med/surg overflow cases. The patient ratio is typically 1:4. The candidate should be resilient, social, able to manage independently, and adaptable to change. During flu season, travelers declining vaccinations are required to wear masks at all times.
