Case Manager Assistant

Shawnee Health is seeking a Case Manager Assistant for our Shawnee Health Shawnee Alliance Carterville office. This position reports directly to the Administrative Social Services Supervisor . Responsibilities Answers telephones, provides information on services, takes messages and transmits messages to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Projects self in a caring, helping manner at all times. Meets and greets the public in person and by telephone. Interacts with outside agencies regularly. Conducts intake interviews utilizing program specific intake forms and processes. Verifies participant’s status in State of Illinois database prior to assessment authorization when necessary. Maintains filing system on a daily basis including file set up, cross referencing, terminating and purging files. Copies and mails pertinent documents. Provides administrative management of participant services including provider and participant specific issues. Performs data entry into assigned database. Attends in‑service and required training sessions both locally and out‑of‑area. Requirements A training course in business office procedures/secretarial duties with excellent communication skills both written and verbal required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business/office management preferred. Must have general knowledge of office equipment operation and be competent in the use of computers. Hourly Range $16.00 - $17.00; Exceptional experience may warrant higher compensation.
