Commodity Manager IIWesterman, Inc., an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.SUMMARYThe Commodity Manager II is responsible for supporting the Vice President, Supply Chain, with the overall procurement process for designated commodities throughout all our locations. We are looking for an experienced Commodity Manager to take on a key role in developing and implementing Sourcing Strategies and Strategic agreements within the designated commodities (steel, fabrication, electrical instrumentation, etc.) that facilitate Lean procurement principles and optimize the capability, value, and flexibility of the Westerman supply chain. The Commodity Manager II is expected to mentor other Commodity Managers and purchasing personnel. You must be a results-driven individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, keen attention to detail, and can influence across the organization and the supply base with the desire to make a difference.RESPONSIBILITIESRegular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group.
