Resident Associate

As a Social Enterprise Resident Associate , you'll play a key role in supporting HOMEmade Goods , Project HOME's social enterprise initiative that provides workforce development opportunities while generating revenue to support our mission. This position combines inventory management, retail operations, customer service, production support, and community engagement. You'll work alongside Project HOME staff and community members while developing transferable workplace skills in a supportive and mission-driven environment. Seward Residence - 1515 Fairmount Ave.19130 Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible schedule, 16 hours per week (start time of 9:00AM or 10:00AM) Compensation: $18.15/hr Eligibility: Current or Former Project HOME Resident What You'll Do Support HOMEmade Goods Operations Maintain inventory and organize merchandise for sale. Label, package, and prepare HOMEmade Goods products. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management. Help ensure products are accurately recorded and organized. Assist with Production & Order Fulfillment Collaborate with team members on candle production activities. Prepare products for shipment and customer pickup. Process and fulfill online orders accurately and efficiently. Support packaging and quality control efforts. Facilitate Community Engagement Assist with candle-making workshops and community events. Represent Project HOME and HOMEmade Goods at off-site events as needed. Help create a welcoming and engaging customer experience. Share information about Project HOME's mission and social enterprise initiatives. Retail & Customer Service Support Process customer purchases using a Square reader and other point-of-sale systems. Assist customers with questions and product selections. Accurately handle cash and payment transactions. Support sales and retail operations as needed. Administrative Support Maintain accurate records related to inventory and sales. Assist with data entry and administrative projects. Support operational tasks assigned by program leadership. Perform other duties as needed to support the success of the enterprise. What You'll Need Education High School Diploma or GED required. Experience Must be a current or former Project HOME resident. Knowledge of behavioral health, homelessness, or recovery services. Experience with cash handling, retail, customer service, or inventory management preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to represent Project HOME professionally within the community. What You May Bring While not required, the following qualifications may help you succeed in this role: Experience working in retail, customer service, or inventory management. Experience processing online orders and shipping products. Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, or group activities. Experience with point-of-sale systems such as Square. Interest in entrepreneurship, social enterprise, or small business operations. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Passion for Project HOME's mission and community impact.
