Reporting Reports to: Building Principal or assigned supervisor. Job Goal To monitor students during indoor and outdoor recess, ensuring a safe and relaxed atmosphere. Performance Responsibilities Monitor student behavior while in assigned area(s). Assist students in proper use of playground equipment, following guidelines in the student handbook. Monitor 2-way radio to assure communication with the school office. Guide students to resolve minor disagreements during recess activities. Communicate positively and effectively with students, co-workers, parents, visitors, staff, and volunteers. Assess minor injuries or refer student to the office/clinic as required. Report serious infractions of rules to building administrator or the student's teacher. Assist in monitoring students moving to and from recess as necessary. Remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout employment in the district. Perform other related duties as assigned.
