About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience - Skills in care of the laboring patient - Skills in care of the newborn immediately after delivery - Ability to circulate and recover C-section patients Description: The successful candidate will work in a unit with 12 beds and a patient ratio of 1:2. The unit includes RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs. Documentation is completed using a specific documentation system. Staffing includes three weekend shifts and specific call shifts. Travelers will float first as needed. Shared decision-making will be required for patient experience. Candidates must have the necessary certifications listed above. Scrubs must be navy blue, gray, or ceil blue and will not be provided by the facility. Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be adhered to. There are opportunities for professional growth and support from experienced staff. Considerations for new equipment and technology may also be part of the experience.
